Horse Hospital

Horse Hospital began in 2026, after I moved to the South of France. The series brings together two long-standing preoccupations: animal forms, which I have drawn since the beginning, and strange interior spaces, which became central to my work during a period when I was living without permission in a former hospital in Paris. The horses are painted in the same cold blue light as those earlier spaces — corridors, examination rooms, courtyards at night. They are calm. They are in the wrong place. They do not seem to know it.
