Observations

Observations began in 2025, when I was living without permission in an office cubicle in a former hospital in Paris. The work returns repeatedly to a single image: fire in a space that wasn’t built for it. A corridor. A flooded car park. A forest at night. The palette is cold throughout, except for the flame, which is always the same red-orange. The figures, when they appear, are not reacting. They are observing.  So is the viewer.
