Spiriling

Spiral staircases in Haussmann buildings, at night. The series began as observation — these staircases are everywhere in Paris, visible through glass doors, glimpsed from the street — and became something else. Trees grow through the railings. Roots replace banisters. The architecture is real. What grows through it is not.
